comfort March 8, 2010 D. Bordlemay (lewisberry, pa) Bought these for my husband and wasn't sure if he would wear them. He loves them as much as I love mine!
Sizing February 16, 2010 Nicole Johnson (Minneapolis, MN) If you wear a 7.5 size shoe, order the S/M or W6-7. I ordered a W8-9 and they were way too big, returned them with no problem and got the right size.
Lightweight! February 10, 2010 Twinkletoes "Jeanne" (Bellefontaine, OH, US) I love these! In an emergency, I went outside in the snow and ice (yes, I had socks on also) and I didn't even slip and slide. I also wear crocs in the summer when I am watering the lawn, etc. Terrific! They are surprisingly lightweight and so comfortable! Don't worry about the width too much. The back strap takes up the slack. Once you try these, you won't want to wear flip-flops.
It is worth spending the money for crocs compared to less expensive look-alikes. These run truer to size also. They aren't supposed to look beautiful, they are supposed to serve a purpose! Some of the surgical staff at our local hospital wear these on the job.
Light and Comfortable February 7, 2010 Miriam (Colorado Springs, CO) They fully met my expectations. Very light weight and comfortable. I bought them to wear only on the beach, but ended up wearing them home from Hawaii on the airplane!
Comfortable, versatile, economical shoes February 2, 2010 Daniel Doonan (Apple Valley, CA) I first purchased Crocs beach shoes four years ago in Hawaii. The two new pairs purchased via Amazon in December 2009 have the same features I love, and the price was about 20% lower than what I paid in 2006. (I still wear the old ones, but the treads on the soles have worn down so they are no longer safe on smooth slipperery surfaces such as wet rocks or cement patios.) One of my new pairs (chocolate colored) had an obnoxious chemical odor when they arrived packed in a closed plastic bag. I left them outdoors for a couple days in the sun and the odor dissipated.
These shoes are so comfortable I wear them almost everywhere. I wear them without socks in the yard or at the beach, or with athletic socks around town. They are particularly good for messy outdoor jobs where they may get wet or muddy. Just hose them off and let them dry in the sun. You can throw them in the washing machine with detergent once in awhile for more thorough cleaning.
One safety suggestion: the back strap should be worn behind your heel when driving a car so your foot won't slip out when moving between the gas and brake pedals.
